Sydney Fire Update

 Hi All,

Time for a Sydney fire site update.

Firstly, I would like to thank all the people who have given me assistance in keeping this site fresh and active; your efforts are greatly appreciated by all. This site can not continue to grow without the support of those members.

I am currently looking for ideas for thinks to add to the site to continue to increase its overall appeal, I am at present trying to get together the following information and if anyone has up to date info they are willing to share with every one drop me an email.

I am looking to add the following:-

RFS PMR Frequencies
GRN zone 2 and 3
GRN Control Channel information
GRN Site Information
Personal Photos of RFS Appliances for Appliance page use
Any Digital fire channel information
Ambulance GRN Talk groups
St John’s Frequency information

If anyone has any ideas outside the above, please let me know.

Forums

I will be looking to appoint true forum moderators in the coming weeks, who will take on the monitoring of specific topic areas, please so them the respect you have all shown me as this moves forward.

 Live Stream

The big news for the stream is the addition recently of a UPS to the system, presently it is only attached to the server that is active, however it is large enough to supply all the equipment attached to the stream. This will be taking place shortly. If the stream does go down for any reason, there are several ways to get in contact with me to rectify the situation, email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , add a post in the forums / shout box, or if you have it, you can contact my by my MSN contact.

Membership and Spam

The new method of registering for membership with the addition of a captcha activation (that is the funny looking letters you need to copy) has had a dramatic affect on the spam. With only one new spam account started since its introduction, this has been a great outcome. It is great to be able to come on the site each day and not find the need to spend time deleting spam and the accounts.

Gallery

I am still looking for input on how to improve the gallery, if you have any suggestions please drop me a line at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Thanks

That’s all for now

Regards

Mike
