If you have to take hose out of a pocket, it means you have a working job, which is just too much work and effort dragging it around, and then getting it back on the truck to get it back to the station, then drying it, rolling it and restoring it.

At lest with All Rubber Hose you can bypass drying it, rolling it and restoring it ;)

Na I love Hose Reel's, easy to pull out, push a button to put it back in, and when its all in, you just get in the truck and head home.

mmm,

that, right there, is why I love rubber hose  warms the cockles of my heart.

hose winder on the side of the truck (Read: pipe designed to roll hoses) so its not that much work to roll 2-3 hoses and thats the end of it! no need to think about it again till the next time the pager bleaps its little heart at me

hose reels, 2 x 19mm on our truck, good for bush/grass, maybe a bin fire or other small fire, other than that, its out with the 38mm for us

The NSWFB contracted hose supplier is located in Taree, however we DON'T use the red rubberised hose you are seeking as it's too heavy and too bulky to flake or roll into appliance pockets. I think the only guys in the NSWFB using this hose are at the Fire Suppression Training Section at Terrey Hills. Give them a call and they may be able to help you out.
