Sydney Fire UpdateForum - New Rules Some members have expressed concerns in the content being posted on the forum and the discussion arising around it. The administration team have taken this into consideration, and developed a new set of rules which we feel should cover what needs to be covered - we want to keep politics and derogatory comments off the site, and keep the site fun and resourceful. There are two major rules which will need to be adhered to strictly, Rule 1 regarding content that can/cannot be posted & Rule 3 regarding the manner in which members must act. A full list of the rules can be seen in this forum topic. We will be enforcing these rules 100% from the 15th September 2010. If anybody has any concerns, feedback/suggestions or issues in regards to these new rules please contact Mike or Andrew through the contact form or PM on the forums. We have a number of new moderators onboard now - so we welcome beaches77 and Hairyman to the moderator team. If any others members wish to act as a moderator on the forums, then please contact Mike. Upcoming Events NSW RFS Open DayMany NSW RFS crews will be opening up the doors of their stations to the public on Saturday, September 25th 2010. Open Day is an opportunity for the community to witness and gain insight into the skill, tools and services performed, used and offered by the NSW Rurual Fire Service. Look out for more information on the NSW Rural Fire Service website in regards to Open Day. NSW RFS State ChampionshipsThe NSW RFS will be hosting it's state championships at Dubbo Showground from Friday September 24th to Sunday September 26th 2010. Sydney Fire Update Hi All, Time for a Sydney fire site update. There have been some improvements lately to the stream with the completion of the UPS integration into the Fire stream system; this will know enable the stream to stay online in the event of a power disruption. This was a bigger task then originally thought due to a variety of reasons and also due to a lack of time too recently. I hope you enjoy the better up time of the stream going forward. Some other added bonuses lately have been the inclusion of Smartphone ability with the site, both the forum and the stream can now be accessed using a compatible smart phone, at present this includes iPhones and Android based phones. The Forum can be accessed using Tapatalk, there is a small once only fee for the App (non of which I see ) if you wish to post, there is also a free version which allows you to view the forum only. The other inclusion, the fire stream can be access by the radio reference App “Scanner radio”, The stream can be found by location Australia-NSW-Sydney Surrounds-Sydney Fire. Gallery Fore those who have not noticed, I have changed the way the Gallery looks and acts totally, All member now have the ability to add photos to any folder, just select the Sidebar on the top right of the page , then select Add item in the just appeared sidebar. Please remember to only add photos you have the permissions to and add in the details of the photo owner, select the appropriate folder for the photo/s you are uploading. If the is a group folder you feel is should be added, please email me and I will add it if appropriate. Forum Onto the Forum, there are some new rules with regards to the forum; these are only designed to keep the politics out and the Fun in. If you have any questions regards these please do not hesitate to
