Hi all

I am very pleased to see that our site is continuing to grow and expand, the members are adding some great information and features as time goes on.

Web links

The Web Links page has finally been added under the main menu, so please check it out. Also I am looking for links to add, so if you have a site that you like, just select Submit a Web Link under the user menu (members) and fill in the blanks. Then one of the admins will then publish the link, it is that easy, so bring them on.

 Chat

A Chat section has been added to the main menu (you need to be a member to access). Feel free to use it anytime. You can chat globally or start a private chat as required. There may still be some minor problems with it, as it is still a Beta test component.

Guest Book

I have added a guestbook to the site; please feel free to add your thoughts on what you think of the site, thanks.

Membership

Invitation to our guests

Hi to all our guests, just to let you know that membership on this site is very easy to do and allows you to access lots of extra parts of the site. There is no cost associated with joining the site, as membership was only added as a means to control SPAM. So come on, join up and have a chat with people who have similar interests.

Reminders

Incidents

An Incidents Category has been added to the forums so that you can post news and updates of any incidents you hear occurring. If the new forum category is utilized we can create a record of incidents that occur and we hear on the fire stream/scanner, also both the incident update sections are now operational, (NSWFB and RFS) so please take a look

Sydneyfire Web Address

Please remember that the new URL for the Sydney Fire Website is now www.sydneyfire.net.au , but the old URL’s www.sydneyfire.org and sfscan.com will continue to redirect to the website address for 2 months

Thanks all for your support

Mike
